RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Any attempt to deviate from the international and Arab terms of reference on peace for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict are doomed to fail, Saeb Erekat, Secretary General of the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee, told Susanna Terstal, the European Union’s (EU) Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, on Saturday.

During a meeting held in the central occupied West Bank city of Jericho, Erekat told Terstal that “Achieving comprehensive, just and lasting peace will not be achieved through attempts to find equations for coexistence between the victim and the executioner, between the occupying power and the people under occupation, between those whose systems and laws are initiated on the bases of apartheid and racism.”
